Married! James + Sima

We met Sima for the second time at the Texas Star Events Open House back in January. She was looking for a short coverage time for her outdoor wedding on April 19. She and James were married at Mayfield Park & Preserve in a beautiful setting of butterflies, flowers, friends and family.

We didn't know either one of them very well but in the short time we spent with them on  that Sunday we saw just how special they were and loved how sweet their relationship was. You could tell James adored Sima and loved to take care of her and Sima only had eyes for James.

I arrived just in time to get a few final shots of Sima as she finished getting ready. What a beautiful bride!

There were actually two parts to their ceremony- a traditional ceremony followed by a Persian ceremony to honor Sima's heritage. There were so many different things going on during the second ceremony, James and I were never sure where to point our cameras! It was our first Persian ceremony so we were intrigued.

My favorite part was the butterfly release. No one knew what to expect so all the oohs and aahs were great. What a beautiful moment.

This was the start of the Persian ceremony. The table in front of them as well as the canopy held by friends and family held so much symbolism and meaning.

Sima and James, the love you have for each other shines in your eyes. May you have many happy years together. It was a pleasure spending the afternoon with you both. All the best!
