{Recap} Two Bright Lights in Austin

Last night I had the pleasure of helping out a bit and attending the Two Bright Lights boot camp. It was wonderful to finally meet Siri, co-founder of Two Bright Lights in person. She is very energetic and encouraging. I loved talking with her! Made me anxious to get more weddings uploaded to their service and ASAP!

I arrived early to help April of Paisley Day and Siri get things set up for the attendees. April, being the fab planner she is, was totally prepared with cute little goodie bags and color coordinating cookies and Jones sodas. How awesome are these?

She even included a mini Luna bar in honor of Lara Casey.

Huge thank you to Aloft at the Domain for hosting us in their gorgeous facility.

I went a bit overboard on photos but I couldn't help it, especially with tasty treats Steve Southern of Southern's Fine Dining brought for us.

Pecan wood smoked brisket slider complete with caramelized onions, Maytag blue cheese and a Dr. Pepper glaze. Yes, they tasted as amazing as they sound.

Cast iron seared sea scallop shooter over jalapeno spoon bread served with roasted corn chow-chow.

Lobster shooter with red curry coconut sauce.

I only ate one of these but seriously could have eaten at least 6. Mexican cheesecake bites with bourbon sauce. Divine.

Meet Chef Southern.

Ok, back to the boot camp! Wedding vendors- coordinators, venues, florists, caterers, photographers - you MUST sign up! What impressed me the most:

  • Photographers and their images are really protected.

  • We can share images from events with other vendors with ease - no more burning multiple discs and the time that involves.

  • Create inspiration boards or slide shows easily for your blog or clients.

  • Submit real weddings to their huge editorial list.

We ended the night with drinks in the Aloft's w xyz bar. Golf tea anyone?

I really can't say enough about Two Bright Lights and how amazing they are. I know they will streamline some of my work flow and give me the opportunity to easily submit to blogs and magazines. That exposure as a business owner is huge!

Thank you again to Siri, April, Steve and Kathryn at Aloft for a wonderful night.
