I don't consider myself a pet photographer at all. The most experience I've had with it is during engagement sessions if a couple happens to bring their pet along. That has always been a fun experience but I am usually just focused on the couple and kind of let the dog do what it wants.

Amy actually contacted me about doing family photos during Thanksgiving. She also asked if I did pet photography because her Great Dane, Grace has aggressive bone cancer and she really wanted some photos of her before she passed. How could I say no to that?

Grace is 10 years old and as Amy told me, has had a good run. She is such a sweetheart and though very large is as gentle as you can imagine. Oh, she likes chicken too.

  1. What a beautiful creature... I'm such a softie when it comes to dogs. I wish I had had the foresight to get nice photos of my dog before he died 3 years ago. I'm sure Amy will love these.

  2. I know Amy well & had the pleasure of "Puppy Sitting" Grace once when Amy went out of town...Thank you for sharing such amazing photos, you captured the true essence of Grace! I'm sure Amy is grateful, I know I am. peace to you & yours...

  3. I absolutely love the photos and will treasure them forever. I love the variety of expressions that Elizabeth captured and she did a wonderful job of working at Grace's pace. Brilliant work, Elizabeth...Thank You!

  4. Aww... he looks like such a sweetie. What a special thing to have for the future. Nice pictures Elizabeth!

Leave a little love...
