As I think back to his first few weeks of life, his four month 'birthday' seemed eons away. Now that we're here, his first few weeks of life seem like forever ago. What has happened to my little baby?
I wanted to do a little monthly comparison...The first one is the day he was born followed by his first, second, third and finally four month photos. He's really changed!
His 4 month check up was today and he weighed in at 15 pounds, 5 ounces and is above average on length. He is one tall boy!
William is such a happy baby who loves to talk, laugh, smile, yell and shriek, that is until I pull out a camera. Needless to say I was incredibly happy that I captured these photos of his belly laugh. Can you see how he even puts his legs into it?
He's been sleeping in his crib and through the night now for about a month. Bedtime is about 8:30 or 9pm and then he wakes up between 6 and 7am. He is still sleeping in a Woombie and likes to kick his legs straight up then roll to the side, where he usually falls asleep. Sometimes he'll entertain himself for a while before that by kicking the rails and knocking his quilt to the floor.
Yesterday was the first time he rolled over from his back to his tummy and he actually didn't get upset about it. When we do tummy time with him, he lasts for maybe 5 minutes or so before he gets upset but he gets better every time.
His favorite toy seems to be his hands. He loves to suck on them all day long and the amount of spit he makes....holy cow. We go through bibs like no one's business.
Seeing his little personality starting to develop has been fun. He's playful and energetic but can also be very quiet and observant. I can't help but wonder what is going on his little brain.
It's been an incredible 4 months and I have learned so much as a new parent. You really can only take one day at a time so that is what I am doing. Slowing things down and savoring each day no matter what it brings. I love you little man!
